Liga MX’s teams didn’t have the best of starts to the 2023 Leagues Cup but now it appears that Mexico’s representatives have started to balance the results a bit. León, Rayados and Tigres fulfilled their expectations and won their respective games against MLS opposition.

La Pandilla defeated Real Salt Lake 3-0, La Fiera beat the Los Angeles Galaxy by the minimum, and Tigres did the same with the Portland Timbers, edging their game 2-1. Before those results, Atlético San Luis and Querétaro both suffered defeats to the New England Revolution and Philadelphia Union respectively – both losing 5-1.
