Europa League four fold

Europa League four fold (1)

The Europa League throws up an extremely tasty Thursday night four-fold

Back another stalemate between Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk and Club Brugge – 23/10

A repeat of last week’s drab goalless draw looks on the cards as Dnipro and Club Brugge lock horns again this Thursday. It is such a big game for the teams, meaning it is likely both will employ a defensive setup, and cancel each other out as they did in the first leg. Dnipro have drawn two out of their last three fixtures by a goalless score line, whilst Club Brugge drew 50% of their games on route to the knockout stages. It will be tense, cagey, and a little dull, but should prove ultimately profitable if the 23/10 priced draw is backed.

Back away day specialists Dynamo Kiev to shock Fiorentina – 7/2

After drawing the first leg 1-1 away from home, many feel Fiorentina now have the advantage in this tie. Statistically they couldn’t be any more incorrect. Kiev have been almost invincible away from home this season, winning 9 of 10 games in the league and 2 of 3 in the Europa League group stages. Similarly it is Fiorentina who have preferred playing away from home this year, with a 2% better winning percentage away from the Artemio Franchi. It has been in Europe where Fiorentina have struggled most at home, winning just 33.3% of their group stage fixtures. The Europa League is notorious for shock results, and this fixture has an upset written all over it. 7/2 is a fantastic price for a Kiev triumph.

Back title favourites Napoli to deliver another Wolfsburg beating – 5/4

Under the guidance of Rafael Benitez, Napoli have become extremely tactically astute in Europe. With five wins from five home games, they have been utterly dominant at the San Paolo, and will look to continue this record by adding to the 4-1 mauling they gave Wolfsburg a week ago. The German’s have failed to win away from home in 58% of their fixtures this season, and this is partly down to them conceding on average over 1.5 goals per game on their travels. Another battering could be on the cards, and Napoli should be backed with confidence at 5/4.

Back Zenit to edge Sevilla – 5/4

Despite undoubtedly playing in a weaker league, Zenit St Petersburg have been statistically far stronger than Sevilla this season, winning 11% more of their fixtures.  The vast majority of Sevilla wins have come at home, as away from the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán they have struggled, winning just under 50% of their fixtures. This away day hoodoo has been even more noticeable in Europe, as they failed to record a single away victory in the group stages. Zenit should dominate and are good value at 5/4.

A £10 acca on Dnipro and Club Brugge to draw and Kiev, Napoli and Zenit to win pays approx £751.78
