NHL SGP Picks #1: Dallas Stars Moneyline

Dallas goalie Jake Oettinger has been outstanding with a .923 save percentage in the postseason and provides the Stars with a chance to win each evening. In contrast, Oilers netminder Stuart Skinner has struggled with a .885 save percentage. Skinner’s confidence likely isn’t high right now as fans call for Calvin Pickard to get a start.

Furthermore to our parlay picks section, the Stars have been road warriors this postseason, winning six of their seven away games, including four straight victories against some of the league’s toughest home teams. Dallas won’t be intimidated by the hostile environment tonight.

NHL SGP Picks #2: Tyler Seguin Anytime Goal

Hintz only returned from injury on Monday, and his immediate impact was evident, as Robertson lit the lamp three times. We think it’s Seguin’s turn to benefit from playing alongside these two studs. His 51 shots on goal are tied for the team lead and he’ll get additional scoring opportunities as a member of the power play.

Through 16 playoff games, Seguin has tallied five goals and seven assists for a total of 12 points. His shoot-first mentality and willingness to generate scoring chances make him a nice value bet in the NHL player props.

No game in this series has seen more than two goals scored in the opening period, and we don’t expect things to change in Game 4. Dallas is going to want to clamp down after allowing Edmonton to go up 2-0 in Game 3. However, the Stars typically haven’t come out of the gates hot, scoring just one first-period goal this series.

Given Skinner’s current struggles, we expect a much better defensive effort from the Oilers tonight at home. You could even consider under 1.5 goals in the first period for a juicy +1600 parlay payout at Bet365, but we’re playing things a bit safer with our same-game parlay.
